When GE Energy called saying they needed a door to segregate an area but they had very little space to operate, we said we would do the best we can to help. The problem came when they informed us they needed a specific clear opening height so that the forklift can pass through.
Our engineer attended site and took all the necessary dimensions so that they can then sit down and see if a high speed door can be made to suit their requirements. It was clear that they had already spoken to several companies who had declined the project and that they were in need of some expert help.
Our engineers set about modifying our standard door in order for it to not only fit within the tight opening but to provide sufficient clearance for the forklift. Another site visit was needed to confirm that the door being proposed was both ideal and acceptable for the customer.
A team of engineers manufactured and later installed the door within their Hampshire facility. On the installation they noticed some details that had been overlooked and that the door would not fit straight in. As these engineers are highly experienced they were able to make the modifications on site and get the door in fully operational.
The required area is now segregated by a high speed door that offers the full clear opening height requested. With all the modifications on this door it still remains fully CE Regulated with all the necessary safety devices.
