This project involved a multi storey conveyor system and vertical transfer station. IKEA required an optimum solution incorporated into the companies PLC and needed a door system that offered a level of security and safety around the conveyor areas.
Speedflex proposed 6 high speed conveyor doors that were strategically positioned to maximise not only the security and safety of personnel but the amount of through-put possible.
All 6 doors were directly programmed to the PLC to enable full control of both the door operation and the conveyor system at all times.
The result of this project was a fast acting solution to a fully automatic 3 storey conveyor system which maximises security, safety and production.
