SAAB Solution

When SAAB in the centre of London called to say they had a workshop entrance that needs a door we thought it was just another standard speed door enquiry. Little did we know that when attending the site survey it was pointed out that the doorway opens onto a public footpath and that they are having continuous problems with pedestrians just walking in the workshop.

With thousands of pounds worth of equipment and the fact the door opened onto a public footpath they needed a door that would eliminate these issues.
Speedflex proposed a high speed door that is beneficial in every way to the customer, it not only has fast opening and closing speeds which stops by passers looking in, it also rolls up and therefore does not impede with the public footpath.

SAAB also asked for an operating device that only they can activate. We offered several different options that were suitable but they decided to have a keypad control. This meant that only authorised staff would be issued with the code and that the code could be changed accordingly if required.

Whilst high speed doors are not predominantly installed for security purposes this particular door has proven an effective deterrent to passing pedestrians.
